Alright, let's see if I've matured enough since last time to host a debate without ticking everyone off.
It has come to my attention that the jokes made about bodily functions and alcoholism in some of my creations are judged by some dragons to be child-inappropriate.
My apologies. I realize that young ones can get on the wiki, and that this is, after all, a children's book series we are writing about. In future, I will endeavour to write things more appropriate to WoF's target audience.
On an unrelated note, I would like to take this opportunity to share certain interesting quotes with you all.
"Burn leaned down to hiss into his ear. 'Even if they do--it'll be far too late for you.' Her claws ripped through the silver dragon's wings, shredding them as Hvitur shrieked in agony. With a swift movement, she stabbed her poisonous tail through his skull and flung the long, silver body over the edge of the cliff.
"The ice dragon's screams cut off long before the echoes of his corpse slamming into the rock below.
"The SandWing turned her black eyes to her soldiers. 'Perfect,' she said. 'That should be the last we hear about that stupid prophecy.' She held her talons out so the rain could wash away the glistening dragon blood. 'Let's go find something else to kill.'" (The Dragonet Prophecy, page #E5)
"But it was too late. With a chilling crack, Queen Scarlet snapped Dune's neck and dropped his body on the stone floor.
"'Dune!' Sunny howled. She squirmed past Scarlet and crouched beside him, shaking him with her front talons. His mangled wing flopped, and his scales scraped against the rocks. His black eyes were empty. 'Dune, wake up!'" (The Dragonet Prophecy, page #115)
"A violent shudder went through the SandWing's whole body. He let go of Peril and flopped slowly onto his side on the sand. Disfiguring burns had melted his facial features, and his wings were charred into black strands between large holes. His talons had scorch marks in the center of his palms." (The Dragonet Prophecy, page #132)
"Fjord flinched in surprise and automatically reached up with one talon to wipe his face clean. But before his claws reached his snout, both dragons heard a hissing noise. Clay stared in shock as the black drops started to bubble and smoke. The scales beneath them began to melt.
"Then Fjord screamed.
"It was the worst sound Clay had ever heard. The dragon Peril had killed had screamed in this kind of agony, but to be right underneath the dying dragon, his screams piercing Clay's ears, was so much worse.
"One of the drops had landed in Fjord's eye, and that was the first thing to disintegrate, leaving a smoking black cavity in his skull. The side of his face slowly dropped away like ice melting. Fjord lurched off Clay, clawing at his own neck. The spray was eating into the open wound." (The Dragonet Prophecy, page #163)
"He hit the sand at an awkward angle. Every dragon in the arena heard the ripping of bones breaking and wings tearing as he tumbled." (The Dragonet Prophecy, page #184)
"Tsunami lifted her chin and stared straight into Queen Scarlet's eyes. With a wrench of her talons, she snapped Gill's neck in one clean break. The expression on her face said, all too clearly, I'm imagining this is you." (The Dragonet Prophecy, page #221)
"Blister's claws ripped across Kestrel's throat before she could scream. Kestrel clutched at the blood pouring from her neck and staggered back, pummeled by the wind. Blister took another step and stabbed Kestrel in the heart with her poisonous tail.
"The SkyWing collapsed to the rocks, thrashing in agony. Her mouth opened to scream curses or breathe fire at her murderers, but only dark red blood bubbled out.
"Morrowseer glanced down at her, then reached out with one talon and nudged her body over the edge of the cliff." (The Dragonet Prophecy, page #303)
"One of the eggs was still intact, but the other was smashed. The little blue dragonet inside had been strangled to death. Her neck was twisted in a horrible way, and her head flopped sadly as Queen Coral gently picked her up.
"Tsunami stared at the body in shock. It--she--was so tiny. Who would do this to a baby dragonet? How could anyone?" (The Lost Heir, page #146)
"The skinny dragon was shrieking in one long, high-pitched scream. Tsunami stopped and pressed herself back against the wall, horrified. Queen Coral had already yanked out each of Tortoise's teeth one by one. They rose through the water, tiny and white, toward the roof. Now Coral had her claws stabbed into Tortoise's exposed underbelly. Clouds of blood filled the water, nearly hiding the queen and Tortoise in a red haze." (The Lost Heir, page #148-149)
"She shook him again, harder. 'Mercy denied.' She flung him into the air and slammed her tail into the side of his head with a horrible-sounding CRACK. Webs went limp, his eyes closed, and he plummeted toward the lake below." (The Lost Heir, page #214)
That will be all for now. I thank anyone who sees this for their time.
