Appearance

Dolphin's scales are a light turquoise. Along her wings, her scales darken slightly to a darker shade of turquoise. Her glow-scales are an odd, light red-coral color that match her scales exceptionally well. Dolphin's spin webs are the same color as her glow scales, and her webbed talons are too. Her eyes are a calming azure blue. Her royal spirals on her underwings are a light pink that sort of look like Anemone's secondary scale color.

Abilities

Dolphin has regular SeaWing abilities, like all others. But the odd thing about her is that she was hatched with the ability to see emotions as colors. When she sees a dragon, she sees their form and their scale and eye color, nothing unusual. But at the same time, she sees different halos of color radiating off of the dragon, which can be any color depending on their mood(s), and they are either thin, like mist, or strong, like semitransparent, almost solid, but not quite. Nobody else can see them.

She does wear one of the many enchanted earrings that were handed out, but takes it off at night so that she can sleep well. Darkstalker enchanted her a bracelet that dims colors so that they don't burn through her eyelids, making her unable to sleep at night.

Personality

Dolphin has a calming aura around her, which makes dragons semi-uncomfortable. She doesn't loose her temper easily, and is quiet and kind. She enjoys reading and writing poetry, writing mostly about sights, sounds, colors, and emotions. Dolphin is also very trusting, but she has a gut instinct that steers her towards the right dragons instead of the wrong ones. When dragons take time to get to know her, she is a great friend, handing out advice on what dragons to avoid and why, and how to not obsess over a crush (she's never had one).

History

The loving SeaWing was hatched in the Deep Palace to her parents Clownfish and Ray. Her mother, Clownfish, didn't trust the Royal Hatchery, even though she never knew about the enchanted Statue of Orca until Tsunami saved Auklet. Dolphin was hatched in her parents' cave, and is now one of the four remaining princesses with the ability to take the throne. As Dolphin grew up, she befriended Turtle and Queen Coral. Only the two of them know about her ability, and Queen Coral finds it incredibly interesting, and has a work-in-progress story circulating around a dragon with the same ability. Dolphin doesn't mind that, but isn't looking for fame. At the age of two, Clownfish and Ray had another egg: Beach Rose. Unlike Dolphin, she wasn't hatched with Dolphin's ability. Beach Rose and her sister are close, and when Dolphin was still in the Deep Palace, they got be seen playing in the royal gardens together. When Jade Mountain opened, Clownfish convinced Coral to send her there. Dolphin was sent to JMA with Turtle, Pike, and Anemone, and was put into the Pearl Winglet.

• Beach Rose's name was originally Hourglass Dolphin.
• Surprisingly to most, she has lost her temper once, when Anemone smashed a blown glass pelican statue that her mother had given to her before she went to JMA.
