History:
Born in a village on the northern end of the Sandwing kingdom, Dalea was hidden away from sight, due to the embaressment and fear that her parents fellow dragons would hurt her. Spending most of her time inside, Dalea turned to books and plant-keeping for entertainment, finding the most fascination in those related to medical sciences.
As the years went on, she read every book there was, scowering her father's library for more information. Eventually, there was nothing she didn't, (informally), know. The days dragged on, and without some form of new information, Dalea became quite unsatisfied with her life. The only way she ever saw the sun was through the windows.She had never felt the wind underneath her wings, either.
Eventually, she snuck out one day, running away from home. She packed several things, a little golden ring, a waterskin, and some food. Out in the desert, Dalea was alone, until she saw a shimmering figure in the distance, with silver scales.
Appearance:
Dalea is a dark, near black sandwing, a trait that gets her many strange looks and whispers of hybridization. Contrary to common belief, Dalea is not one, ableit at this point she has stopped correcting others. She has bright yellow eyes, that always look somewhat tired due to her spending many sleepless, late nights helping others.
Personality:
Dalea is constantly on her toes, hypervigilant and constantly watching others' movements. It is difficult for her to trust dragons, preferring to keep to herself and to stay distant. While kind, she only truly shows her soft side to those she loves. Dalea worries easily, and struggles to put her needs before others, finding difficulty in feeling "deserving" of things.
Relationships:
Finback: Finback was Dalea's mentor for much of her child-to-adulthood, training her in many different healing techniques while giving her a place to live and eat. Finback and Dalea are still close, often visiting eachother at their respective homes every year.
Deccan: Deccan is Dalea's son, and is often the one to go to places for her, as she is deathly afraid of being seen in public. While she loves her son and appreciates all that he does for her, she often feels guilty over having him do menial tasks that she should be able to do herself. Deccan returns the love but hides many things from her, himself.
