Anemone flew out of Jade Mountain Academy secretly chasing her only love. Ahead of her, Tamarin dove down to the forest below, using her scent and hearing to guide her.
"Tamarin!" Anemone called, approaching the blind dragon.
"Oh... Anemone?" Tamarin replied, recognizing her voice. Anemone blushed.
"I was just wondering if you needed someone to lead you around the jungle." Anemone quickly thought of an excuse to explain her actions.
Tamarin shrugged and said, "Thanks, Anemone. But I really don't need anyone to guide me. At this point, I've memorized the grounds of Jade Mountain Academy.
"Oh, um--- well, I meant, um, I was actually coming here to hunt. Um... my winglet has hunting right now." Anemone stuttered.
"But, you're winglet just ended their hunting period, right?" Tamarin asked, confused.
"Well, er... that's true but I actually missed that period, um, while helping a teacher. So... they allowed me to, uh, hunt now?" Anemone persisted.
"Wait, but Ostrich told me that you helped her hunt today." Tamarin flapped her wings.
Anemone got annoyed. "The thing is I... um... I brought you this fish!" Quickly Anemone held out a fish, waving it in front of Tamarin. Tamarin wrinkled her nose. At that moment Pike, the SeaWing from the Gold Winglet, flew down beside Anemone.
"Anemone! My princess! I was so worried that something happened to you. Is this dragon bothering you?" he snarled at Tamarin.
Tamarin turned a deep pink as he approached. "Hey, Pike."
"Pike... I'm fine! Go! You're just annoying me right now." Anemone exclaimed, trying to talk to Tamarin alone again.
"No, no, stay! I mean, it's quite alright." Tamarin said sweetly, batting her eyelashes at Pike. Anemone frowned.
"Anemone, it's safer if you come with me. The Queen told me not to leave you out of my sight." Pike said, looking for an excuse to guard the princess.
"The Queen?" Anemone snorted, rolling her eyes. "Who cares about that old catfish? I'm stronger than all of you with my animus powers." she said, intending to impress Tamarin and shoo away Pike.
"Of course you're so strong!" Pike praised her.
"But... Pike's really strong too. I think you should listen to him." Tamarin said to Anemone, still gazing at Pike.
"Well, if you're okay. I'm going to go back to the school." Pike shot Tamarin a disdainful look as he turned to bow to Anemone.
"I'm actually going to go with him. We're in the same winglet." Tamarin said, flying after Pike.
Anemone was left alone on the forest floor.
"Well... that was pointless." she muttered.
